When he’s not in front of an audience, Dr. Shire can be found at either his Manhattan or Westchester chiropractic practices.
“I was drawn to chiropractic because of my fascination with health and well-being,” says Dr. Shire. “Each of us has the innate ability to self-heal, without drugs or surgery. I help my patients and coaching clients maximize their healing response. Naturally.”
Besides being a gifted healer, Dr. Shire is now bringing his message of natural pain relief and stress reduction to a broader audience.
“Actually, it was my patients who urged me to share my message outside the practice,” recalls Dr. Shire. “After attending a lecture in my office, many asked if I would give a similar talk to their company or civic group. It’s really grown organically since then.”
He has an uncanny ability to click with audiences.
“That probably comes from my other life as a musician,” smiles Dr. Shire. “Thumping out a groovy bass line with my band isn’t exactly public speaking, but there is a performance aspect to it. I’ve learned to read an audience and pick up subtle cues that enable me to lean in or back off.”
Dr. Shire is a fellow with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, has served on the board of the New York Chiropractic Council, sits on the Leadership Committee for his BNI 53 Chapter, is the Chairman of the Scarsdale Arts Advisory Council, and is a Cofounder and Music Director of the Scarsdale Music Festival.
